In seventeenth century,European colonialists such as Portugal,Holland and England gained the control and trading monopoly of the opium which helped many of European nations to keep balance of trade deficits and finance as well as obtained a higher revenues in Asian colonial trading.

In this context,opium was considered equally to other globally trading items such as rubber,coffee,tea,cocoa or wheat.Though the British colonialism used opium as manipulator tool to enter Asian,Middle east and other many of markets that played a large figure in the scheme of British colonialism.Forcible introduction of opium to markets of Asian countries such as Srilanka,India and China made massive consumption and created millions of opium dictators in the Asian region.There were 15 millions of opium addicts and 50 millions of occasional smokers in China by 1996.In the same time,China alone was consuming about 23000 tons of opium.

With the higher motivations and encouragements of colonial powers,the opium cultivation had widely spread throughout the inaccessible and rural river valleys all over the Asian hill regions.At the dawn of twentieth century,narcotic trade had taken in to the monopoly of some of criminal organizations.connecting the three places of Laos,Thailand and Burma made the 38 millions of hectares of opium cultivation area which provided the optimal,environmental,social and political conditions for opium productions.
Golden triangle produce about 400 tons of opium and by 1990 the figure had gone up to 2560tons.

 Such a large amount of drugs in a cheapest price lured millions of people to take and addict on opium and heroine.Another major region of opium growing in Asia is golden crescent which exists across the places of Iran,Pakistan and Afganistan.Many of kurdish and parkistan people have been long time poppy growers and smugglers of opium to European union countries.In the golden crescent, several opium growers and sealers are bound in network to compete with golden triangle for opium production and smuggle.These smugglers and growers are more organized with one another and resenting towards outsiders who are trying to control the system of smuggling operation.

While colonialism aimed financial profits from the cultivation of opium,the christian movement defined the smoking of opium as evil addiction.With the power gain of socialism the China has changed towards the common well beings of public which resulted disposal of opium and poppy cultivation completely which made China free from cannabis and heroine addictions in a satisfactory extent.On the other view, Chinese criminal organizations backed to hold drug trade with their armed personals. Burma,Thailand,Laos and Vieatnam which were highly used to cultivate opium that made a significant push to overthrow the communist rule of China.
It is said that some of European countries were involved for the plan to eliminate the communist rule of China.

In the season of Vieatnam war, French army and CIA have aided to tribal groups and armed forces who were actively involved in heroine and cannabis trade.around 1970,Heroine laboratories were introduced in to Asia to where recieved the drug loads of French and Americans.Escalation of opium cultivation s in golden triangle to supply the demands of the region.

The places of India, Bangaladesh, pakistan,singapore,Vieatnam,Burma,Afganistan,Iran and Srilanka became the most prevalent places of drugs where created many millions of addicts.Srilanka connected to this network via India and pakistan , in same time there had not been drug barons.

When US troops withdrew from Korea ,Viatnam and Afganistan ,it affected to Asian market of heroine and cannabis which lost more than 600000 of addicts and occasional users.Today, the main challenge of drug traders to enlarge their markets for younger generations because many youths reject heroine and cannabis due to their severely addictive and mortally harmful outcomes.

Many countries now are launching  anti-drug operations with the help of Interpol which caused to brake the complex chains of heroine and cannabis smuggles and cultivation.on the purpose of elimination of drug nets,new technologies and highly strategical intelligent methodologies have to be used to create a healthy and peaceful Asian nation towards next century.
